Recent reseach indicates that fully bilingual people, those speaking both languages fluently almost everyday, have a higher chance of preventing dementia than their monolingual counterparts. That's interesting, don't you think? I have two, nay three, comments on the subject:
a) Canadian scientists came to this conclusion. So it's a lie. Blame Canada.
b) Why are we even interested in offsetting dementia? Crazy folk are the coolest people at the party (aside from the lampshade-head drunk that always manages to go-go dance on the coffee table.)
c) Excellent news! Now I just need to get gooder at talking my English to folks. First thing I to do is move from Crestview. That's a good start...
