On Memories: A Sliver's Worth

As I stepped outside, I noticed the evening moon and I had a little flashback that felt kind of nice. I remember hanging out on the front porch with my Dad during night with moons like this:
My pop and I would spend time outside talking, shooting the shit and watching the moon slowly traverse across the night sky. He was more partial to the Harvest Moon but it was tonight's moon sliver that reminded me of him. I vividly recall him leaning in close and telling me that the sliver I was looking at was God's thumbnail. Of course, the gullible little kid that I was I just stared at it and awed at the sight. That's a cool memory to have.
